About
Aaron Kubala is an American ultrarunner and running coach based in San Francisco with a background in data science and economic research. He broke into multi-day racing with a third-place finish at the 2023 Moab 240 in his first-ever 200-miler, then set his sights on the Triple Crown of 200s -- Tahoe 200, Bigfoot 200, and Moab 240 -- aiming to win and set course records at each. He delivered on Tahoe, taking the win at the 2026 Tahoe 200 Endurance Run in just over two days to break the course record by more than an hour. Kubala also won The Speed Project LALV, a roughly 300-mile relay from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, setting a course record by nearly ten hours, and crossed Chile's Atacama Desert on foot in a self-supported effort documented on film. He is an East Peak athlete partner and coaches runners preparing for everything from first ultras to 200-mile races.
