About

Addie Bracy is an American ultrarunner, sport psychologist, and author from Colorado with one of the broadest competitive backgrounds in the sport, having raced from the steeplechase to 100 miles over a 25-year career. She captained the cross-country team at UNC Chapel Hill, qualified for the US Olympic Trials twice in the marathon and once in the 10,000 metres, and won three USATF National Championships. A three-time USATF Women's Mountain Runner of the Year and 2:35 marathoner, she later earned a master's degree in sport and performance psychology from the University of Denver and is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant — credentials she channelled into authoring Mental Training for Ultrarunning (Human Kinetics, 2022), widely considered the definitive text on the subject. On the trails she placed second at the Leadville Trail 100 Mile in 2018, finished ninth at Western States 2019, and earned a third Western States Golden Ticket by placing third at the 2025 Javelina Jundred in 14:45.
