About

Adrien Prigent is a French trail and ultrarunner born in the early 1980s who took up running in late 2013 as a weight-loss measure and completed his first marathon at Manchester in 2014, transitioning to ultras the following year. By 2017 he had broken through internationally, winning the Centurion South Downs Way 100 in 15:43, and in 2018 he won the inaugural Tarawera 100-Mile Endurance Run in New Zealand in 19:38:32, the first edition of a race that has since grown into one of the Southern Hemisphere's premier 100-mile events. Originally from France and associated professionally with mountain and rope-access work, Prigent relocated to Canmore, Alberta, where he joined the RunUphill.ca elite team and has continued racing on both the European and North American ultra circuits, including the UTMB TDS, Transgrancanaria, and the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada 125K.
