Alexandra Rousset is a French trail runner based in Saint-Pierre in the Chartreuse massif near Grenoble, who grew up in a family of runners and trains during lunch breaks and weekends on her local mountain trails. She specializes in extreme-distance mountain ultras, finishing the 339km / 29,000m-gain Tor des Géants in 2018 in 107:07:17 (60th overall, 7th woman) and completing the 348.5km SwissPeaks Trail in 2019. In 2021 she placed 2nd woman and 26th overall at La Terre Des Dieux. In 2025 she became the first woman to complete the opening loop of the Chartreuse Terminorum, an extremely difficult 300km race through her home range, and has spoken publicly about the adventure to encourage others that such feats are achievable.
