Carmen María Pérez is a Spanish ultra-distance runner from Requena, Valencia who has spent more than fifteen years racing everything from mountain ultra trails to fixed-time track events, and now holds multiple Spanish national records: 6-hour (81.226km), 12-hour (147.329km), 24-hour (249.480km, set at the 2025 Albi World Championship), 100km (7h47'14"), and 50 miles (5h58'22"). She won the Transilicitana 100k, the Pico Veleta mountain ascent, the 90k Camino de la Cruz in Murcia, and the 100 Miles Sierra de los Bandoleros, all with women's course records, and also won the Ultrabalaton in Slovenia. On the international stage she took 2nd at the 2024 Spartathlon (246km, Greece) — becoming the first Spanish woman to podium the race — and won the M40 world title in the 24-hour distance at the 2025 Albi World Championships after taking the Spanish national record at the 2023 24-Hour World Championships in Taipei (240.889km). She has also raced UTMB and Penyagolosa Trails, and completed a Badwater 135 support crossing in 2023 ahead of a planned official start in 2026 as the first Spanish woman entrant.
