Carolyn Smith is an American ultrarunner who was among the country's leading 100km and 24-hour specialists through the mid-2000s. She was named to the USA 100km national team five times (2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), winning the USA 100km National Championship outright in 2008 and the USA 24-Hour National Championship in 2006 with 137.04 miles. Internationally she was part of the U.S. team that won gold at the IAU 100km World Cup in 2009 (finishing 7th individually) and again in 2012, and she contributed to the team bronze medal at the 2005 IAU 24-Hour World Challenge.
