About
Célia Chiron is a French trail and skyrunning specialist who grew up in the Pyrenees and later moved to Grenoble to stay close to the high mountains. After fifteen years as a competitive gymnast and six years studying medicine at the University of Toulouse, she transitioned to triathlon before focusing entirely on trail and mountain running. She joined the Optisport / Uglow team and represented the French national trail running team alongside her partner Adrien Michaud, earning selection via a qualifying race at Taninges. She earned a bronze medal at the French Trail Running Championships in Gérardmer and finished 2nd at the Gorbeia Suzien Skyrace in 2017. Her background in both gymnastics and medicine informs an unusually disciplined approach to training and performance.
