David Green

About

David Green is a British ultrarunner, author, and retired entrepreneur who splits his time between Florida and Portugal and has built his racing identity around solo long-distance crossings and fastest known times rather than conventional single-day races. He set a fastest known time for crossing Europe on foot from Porto to Istanbul in October 2025, and holds multiple FKTs on Brazil's Caminho da Fé pilgrimage trail (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022), in addition to solo crossing runs across the United States, Brazil, and Spain. On the conventional ultra calendar he has recorded wins and strong finishes at races including the Ridgeway 86, the Stour Valley Path 100km, the Rose of the Shires Ultra 54, and the Trail Alsace Grand Est by UTMB. In 2022 he and his wife Mônica co-founded Friends of Lucky Caminho, a nonprofit supporting stray dogs along the Caminho da Fé route.
