Devon Olson is an American ultrarunner who grew up about 150 miles north of Pennsylvania's Laurel Highlands before moving west to Steamboat Springs, Colorado in 2014, where he has become one of the local trail scene's most durable competitors for well over a decade. He announced himself on the ultra scene by winning his home-region's Laurel Highlands Ultra, the 70.5-mile 'toughest trail in Pennsylvania,' in back-to-back years — 12:05:27 in 2013 at age 25, then 11:50:23 in 2014. After relocating to Colorado he added the Leadville Silver Rush 50 title, covering the high-altitude course in 6:53:26, and has remained a fixture on Steamboat's home trails, winning the Howelsen Hill Trail Run in 2017 and, a full decade-plus into his career, still setting personal bests — breaking four hours by seven seconds to set the Continental Divide Trail Run 50k course record (3:59) in Steamboat Springs in 2024.
