Đỗ Trọng Nhơn is a Vietnamese ultra-trail runner from mountainous Tay Son district in Binh Dinh province who came to the sport remarkably late and rose remarkably fast. He only began learning about running in general — and trail running in particular — in April and May of 2019, after finishing 3rd on his first attempt at a Da Lat trail race sparked his curiosity; within months he had joined Ho Chi Minh City's RFF-RUNFORFUN running community and, in his second-ever trail race, won the Vietnam Jungle Marathon (VJM) outright. He went on to add runner-up finishes at both the Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM) 100km and the Vietnam Trail Marathon (VTM), and became a multiple race champion in 2024, including a win at the demanding 112km Dalat Ultra Trail. Now racing for Team Kailas Fuga with an ITRA Performance Index of 754, he is regarded as one of Vietnam's most accomplished homegrown trail talents.
