About
Duncan Callahan is an American ultrarunner from Gunnison, Colorado who rose to national prominence in his very first year of ultra-racing with a debut win at the 2008 Leadville Trail 100 at just 25 years old, crossing the line in 18:02:39. He returned in 2010 to win Leadville again in 17:43, and in between set course records at the Moab 100 and the Grand Teton 50 Mile — accumulating nine podium finishes across seven ultra events in 2009 alone. After stepping back from elite competition, he channelled his expertise into coaching, founding Strategic Endurance in spring 2011, a programme dedicated to helping trail runners achieve long-term performance goals in the mountains.
