About

Emmanuel Gault is a French trail runner born on 28 November 1976 who has quietly accumulated one of the most impressive records in French trail running history — over 50 victories spread across three decades of competition. A schoolteacher and school director by profession, he won the CCC (Courmayeur–Champex–Chamonix, 101km) at the UTMB event in 2011, one of the most prestigious 100km mountain races in the world, and has repeatedly dominated French trail classics: three wins at the Eco Trail de Paris (2009, 2014, 2017), victory at the SaintéLyon (2012), and five wins at the Veni Vici — the last at the age of 48. His longevity and consistency across four decades, combining teaching responsibilities with sustained elite-level performances, make him one of the most respected figures in French trail running.
