Emmanuel Gault is a French trail runner born on 28 November 1976 who has quietly accumulated one of the most impressive records in French trail running history — over 50 victories spread across three decades of competition. A schoolteacher and school director by profession, he won the CCC (Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix, 101km) at the UTMB event in 2011, one of the most prestigious 100km mountain races in the world, and has repeatedly dominated French trail classics: three wins at the Eco Trail de Paris (2009, 2014, 2017), victory at the SaintéLyon (2012), and five wins at the Veni Vici — the last at the age of 48. His longevity and consistency across four decades, combining teaching responsibilities with sustained elite-level performances, make him one of the most respected figures in French trail running.
