Gianluca Ghiano is an Italian skyrunner from Piedmont who competes for Brooks Trail Runners EMEA and describes himself as passionate about the impossible. He is a member of ASD Baudenasca and has been selected as a national interest athlete by the Italian Skyrunning Federation. His 2025 season was outstanding: he won two Skyrunner World Series races — the Monte Zerbion Skyrace and the Mount Kinabalu Climbathon, setting a new course record of 3:05:41 over 24.5 km — tying with William Boffelli for the most SWS wins that season. He is considered one of Italy's brightest talents in skyrunning, driven by a philosophy of pursuing the impossible in mountain sport.
