Giuliano Cavallo is an Italian mountain ultra-trail runner, born in Basilicata in 1974, who relocated to Valle d'Aosta in 1995 and developed his connection to the mountains while serving with the Alpini. Racing for Team Salomon Isostad in the heart of the Italian Alps, he built one of the deepest win records in regional ultra-trail racing through the 2010s, taking the overall title at Gran Trail Courmayeur four times between 2013 and 2016 at varying distances, winning the Tor des Géants' Tot Dret (TOR130) category outright in 2019, and adding wins at Gran Trail Valdigne, Trail del Monte Soglio, Ultra Trail del Lago d'Orta, Alpago Ecomarathon, and Licony Trail, among many others. He remains competitive into his fifties, finishing 4th overall at Trail del Monte Soglio in 2024.
