She has competed at the ultra distance for years, finishing 2nd in the women's Trail Ultra (46km) category at Trail do Texugo, and is closely associated with the Trilhos dos Abutres race in Miranda do Corvo, where she has served as the event's 'godmother' (madrinha) — an honorary ambassador role reserved for athletes who helped build the race's identity — while still winning her category outright in that role.
