About
Imogen Boddy — known as Imo — is a British ultra runner and world record holder from Malton, North Yorkshire, born in 1999. She developed her endurance instincts at Sedbergh School, where she created a multi-sport challenge for classmates combining a 10km lake swim, a marathon, and a 40km cycle. At 22 she became the youngest known female to run the length of Britain, covering John O'Groats to Land's End at approximately 40 miles a day for 22 days straight. In 2024 she broke the 45-year-old women's Guinness World Record for the UK National Three Peaks Challenge on foot — running between Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon in 6 days, 5 hours, and 43 minutes. She placed 2nd overall at the Speed Project Solo, a 300-mile unsupported run from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, setting a new course record by nearly five hours.
