Isacco Costa

About

Isacco Costa was born in 2001 in Val di Zoldo, province of Belluno, and competes for La Sportiva. He comes from a mountain running family — his father Antonio was the first competitive mountain runner in the valley and his brother Eris also competed at a high level. In 2024 he won the Italian Absolute Mountain Running Championship at Casnigo and placed 10th at the European up-and-down championships in Annecy. He won the Snowdon Race in Wales and in 2026 was crowned Italian Absolute Mountain Running Champion for the second time, confirming his status as Italy's leading mountain runner of his generation. A biomechanics researcher as well as competitor, Costa brings a scientific rigour to the demands of steep mountain terrain.
