About
Jacqui Mannhard is an American ultrarunner and former speech pathologist from Boulder, Colorado who won the 2023 Leadville Trail 100 women's race in 21:24:55 — nearly two hours clear of the field — in one of recent ultrarunning's most unlikely breakout performances. She grew up in Missouri, ran college cross-country at Truman State University and briefly at the University of Colorado, then spent years sidelined by recurring injury before rebuilding around a deliberately low-mileage approach (typically 45–55 miles per week) under coach David Roche. During the pandemic she set FKTs on the Boulder Skyline Traverse and Mt. Sanitas, gradually rebuilding competitive confidence, and finished fifth at the Dirty 30 50k in 2019 as one of her first serious results back. A Tailwind Nutrition athlete and mother of two, Mannhard is a compelling example of patient, methodical performance rebuilt after a long competitive absence.
