Janet Runyan is an American ultrarunner and running form coach based in Boulder, Colorado, with a career spanning road ultras, 100-milers, and multi-day events. She won the U.S. 100km national championship in 1996, covering the 62-mile distance in under nine hours, and represented the United States on the bronze-medal-winning American team at the 1998 IAU 100km World Cup. She went on to win the Leadville Trail 100 outright in 2001, a result that still stands as the race's masters course record. Runyan has since become a running-form specialist, coaching long-distance and ultramarathon athletes out of Boulder.
