He debuted at the Tor des Géants 330km in 2021, led before being overhauled late by Franco Collè, and finished second; he returned in 2022 determined to top the podium, led the race from start to finish despite racing less than a month after placing eighth at UTMB, and won in 70:36. He followed it with a dominant victory at the Lavaredo Ultra Trail by UTMB 120km in 2023, pulling away at the 80km mark to win by 18 minutes in 12:13:04 — having only finished sixth at the same race the year before.
