Karen Hacker is a British trail ultrarunner based in Wales who has built a strong record on the technical coastal and mountain courses of southwest Britain. Racing in the 40-44 age category, she has taken overall victories at the SW Coast Path Salcombe Challenge (43.5km, 2022), the South West Traverse Solo (72.4km, 2022), and the Endurancelife Pembrokeshire Ultra (55.8km, 2024) — the last of these also the overall women's title. She stepped up in distance to win the Pembrokeshire Coastal Trail 50 Mile outright in 2025, and carried that form into 2026 with an overall win at the Rasus y Bannau Marathon. With 32 finished ultra races and a UTMB Index in the mid-630s, Hacker has built her reputation on consistency across the UK's toughest coastal and mountain terrain rather than headline international starts.
