Kathy Adams is a Canadian ultrarunner from Chelsea, Quebec, and wife of celebrated Canadian adventure runner Ray Zahab — who completed a 7,500km crossing of the Sahara in 2007. Together they co-founded Impossible2Possible, a non-profit organisation that uses adventure expeditions to inspire and educate young people globally. On the trail, Adams has built a reputation as one of North America's most committed multi-day ultra runners, becoming one of the few athletes to have completed all three of race director Candice Burt's 200-mile races: the Bigfoot 200 in Washington State, the Tahoe 200, and the Moab 240 in Utah. At the 2019 Moab 240 she placed 2nd among women in 86:28:13, behind winner Sarah Emoto (81:18:42), in one of the sport's most gruelling desert endurance events. Her racing life is built around the same values of possibility and endurance that her non-profit work embodies.
