About
Kilian Korth is an American ultrarunner based in Grand Junction, Colorado, who in 2025 made history by becoming the first athlete to win all three races in the Destination Trail Triple Crown of 200s — the Tahoe 200, Bigfoot 200, and Moab 240 — in a single calendar year, setting the men's all-time cumulative record of 156:30:20. Born around 1995, he grew up in Bury St. Edmunds, England, before moving to the United States to attend American University in Washington, D.C., where he majored in political science and competed as a collegiate swimmer, winning regional backstroke championships and earning Patriot League Academic All-League honours before graduating in 2016. He came to ultrarunning gradually, making his first serious 200-mile attempt at the Cocodona 250 in 2022 — where a hamstring tear at mile 100 ended his race — before progressively building to his landmark 2025 Triple Crown sweep. Known for exceptional mental resilience and even pacing across multi-day efforts, he describes the prime draw of 200-mile racing as the mental challenge above all else. He also works as an ultrarunning coach under the Everyday Ultra program.
