Luca Del Pero is an Italian trail runner and ultrarunner born on December 5, 1997, in Carate Brianza, Lombardy, who holds a degree in Sports Sciences and discovered mountain running as a vocation in 2019 after years of cross-country competition and a period in mountain biking. A Scarpa ambassador, he has established himself as one of Italy’s strongest performers across both trail and skyrunning distances, earning a World Championship bronze medal in trail running and a Skyrunner World Series title. His 2025 results included victories at the Lozère Trail, the Transvulcania Media Maratón in the Canary Islands, and the Kilómetro Vertical, and a second-place finish at the Lavaredo Ultra Trail 50km by UTMB (4:09:24). Del Pero has spoken candidly about the psychological demands of extreme endurance racing, and his thoughtful approach to competition and training has made him one of the Italian trail scene’s most followed and respected figures.
