About
Lynette Clemons is an American ultrarunner who made history twice at the Leadville Trail 100 Run, one of the highest and most demanding 100-mile races in North America, held at altitude between 9,200 and 12,612 feet in the Colorado Rockies. She won the women's division in 2009 in 20:58:01 for her first gold belt buckle, then returned in 2011 to win again in 19:59:06 — the third-fastest women's time in the race's history at the time, making her one of only a handful of women ever to break 20 hours at altitude on the historic Leadville course. Her back-to-back victories over one of ultrarunning's most iconic races established her as one of the most accomplished women in Leadville history.
