About

Marc Pinsach Rubirola is a Catalan trail runner and former elite ski mountaineer born April 15, 1989 in Girona, who lives in Cassà de la Selva. He spent more than 15 years as a member of the Spanish national ski mountaineering team, accumulating top-10 finishes and multiple podiums in world cups and competing in legendary classics such as the Pierra Menta, Patrouille des Glaciers, and Mezzalana, before retiring from skimo in 2021 to focus full-time on trail running. In trail racing his defining achievement is victory at the UTMB OCC in 2015 — a 55km/3,500m race around Mont Blanc that served as his arrival on the global stage. He has also won the Olla de Núria four times and holds the historic Aneto marathon course record, one of the classic benchmark routes in Pyrenean mountain running.
