Mélanie Rousset is a French mountain and trail runner racing for the Taillefer Trail Team who has built one of the more durable podium records in the domestic French scene, reaching the podium in her very first race and continuing to do so across seven years of competition. Her results range from summer mountain races to true ultra distances: she won L'Échappée Belle in 2019, a brutal 149km route with 11,400m of elevation gain, took the win at the Ultra-Trail des Pays de la Meije (UTPMA) over 105km, and claimed victory at the Pierra Menta Été in 2023. Internationally, she took 3rd at the Transgrancanaria in 2017 and was runner-up at La Transju'Trail. She carries a UTMB Index of 654 into the current season and continues to race regularly across the French Alps.
