Michael Greer is an American ultrarunner and father of five based in Arizona who has built one of the most consistent podium records on the Southwest's toughest 100-mile and multi-day courses. He finished 3rd overall at the Zion 100 Mile in 2018 and again podiumed there in 2021 before winning his category outright in 2022, then broke through at the sport's deepest level with a 3rd-place overall finish at the 2023 Cocodona 250 — one of the most competitive fields in American ultrarunning. In 2024 he won the Sedona Canyons 125-Mile outright. Away from racing, Greer has pursued extreme personal challenges for charity, including an attempt to climb 100,000 feet in a single continuous effort on Utah's Y Mountain to raise money for the Televerde Foundation and medical costs for people close to him. His UTMB Index of 726 places him among the more competitive amateur ultrarunners on the American mountain circuit.
