About

Nick Coury is an American ultrarunner, software developer, and entrepreneur from Arizona who co-founded Aravaipa Running with his brother Jamil Coury, building one of the most prominent trail race production companies in the United States before stepping down as co-race director and CTO. He completed his first ultramarathon at age 17 and went on to compete across multiple disciplines — finishing the Hardrock 100 five times, twice representing the USA on the 24-hour national team, and setting the American men's record for most miles run in 24 hours with 173.05 miles at Desert Solstice. Coury is one of the most recognisable figures in US ultrarunning both as a competitor and as an architect of the sport's infrastructure.
