Oscar Claesson is a Swedish trail runner from Gnosjö who came to the sport in 2022 after a career as a cross-country skier, and rose through the ranks with remarkable speed. His debut trail win came at the Salomon 27K in Årefjällen — a Golden Trail Series race — and he went on to win the Nordic Golden Trail final in Finland and qualify for the GTWS Grand Final on Madeira. He won the Kullamannen 100K on his first ultra attempt, the Kullamannen Seventh Seal 50K in 2025, the Kia Fjällmaraton in Åre, and the Idre Fjällmaraton. In 2024 Salomon signed him as a global future athlete, providing professional coaching, nutrition support, and custom gear — a testament to the rapid rise that has made him one of Scandinavia's most exciting running talents.
