Richeville Esparon is a Réunion Island ultrarunner and double winner of La Diagonale des Fous (Grand Raid de la Réunion), regarded as one of the last local Réunionnais champions of the race before it became dominated by international professionals. He won outright in 2003 (17:56:27) and again in 2004 (20:00:57), and recorded a string of regional podiums through the 2010s, including 3rd at the 2017 Grand Raid de la Réunion 64.5k (8:18:19) and 1st at the 2015 D-Tour Saint-Denis 60k (6:36:01). He continued racing into his 50s, finishing 11th in the full 163.5km Diagonale des Fous in 2010 (29:18:20), and now serves as a race commissioner for the Grand Raid.
