About
Robbie Britton is a British ultrarunner, adventure athlete, coach, and writer born in 1986, based in the Biellese Alps of northern Italy where he founded the Coggiola Endurance Centre — a dedicated training hub for elite and aspiring endurance athletes. Primarily a Team GB 24-hour runner, he set the British 24-hour record at the 24 Ore Di Torino in Italy in 2023, covering 277.439 km at a sustained average of 5:11 per km and breaking a mark set by Dave Dowdle in 1982 that had stood for 41 years. He won a bronze medal at the IAU 24-Hour World and European Championships in 2015 — helping Great Britain and Northern Ireland to team gold — with a distance of approximately 261 km. In March 2019 he co-set the Fastest Known Time on the 650-kilometre Jordan Trail with Dan Lawson, completing the traverse in 9 days, 10 hours, and 17 minutes. He also placed sixth at the Leadville Trail 100 in 2024. An MSc-qualified performance coach with an IOC Sports Nutrition diploma, he has coached elite athletes including Hayden Hawks and Dan Jones to major victories. He is one of British trail and ultra running's most multidimensional and respected figures.
