Robbie Simpson is a Scottish international runner from Finzean in the Aberdeenshire Highlands who has excelled at the intersection of elite marathon running and technical mountain racing. Born November 14, 1991, he joined athletics aged 12 and progressed to become a world-class performer in both disciplines, holding a marathon personal best of 2:14:56. On the mountain circuit, he won the Jungfrau Marathon in 2016 and 2018, claimed bronze at the 2018 Commonwealth Games marathon, silver at the 2014 European Mountain Running Championships, and bronze at the 2015 World Mountain Running Championships. He has also competed five times each at the European and World Mountain Running Championships, and won the South Downs Way 50km (3:13:32), showcasing his range from road to mountain to trail.
