Sandra Sevillano is a Spanish trail runner and European Skyrunning champion born in 1984 in Vitoria and based in Santurtzi in the Basque Country, who came to mountain running through a chance discovery — she had never raced before joining her partner on a run in the Pagasarri mountains and realising she had a gift for moving fast through terrain. She won the Spanish Cup in 2018, then in November 2021 claimed gold at the Skyrunning European SkyUltra Championships, completing the 65-kilometre course in 10 hours 37 minutes — seven minutes clear of the silver medalist — despite sustaining a twisted ankle at kilometre 23 and racing the remaining 42 kilometres on it. She placed third among the women at the Eiger Ultra Trail by UTMB E101 in 2024, and in 2025 won the GTPE Picos de Europa Ultra 70km outright. One of the most celebrated Basque athletes on the international mountain ultra circuit.
