About
Sarah Webster is a British ultrarunner from the Isle of Man who holds the women's world record for the 24-hour distance, covering 278.622 km at the 2025 IAU 24-Hour World Championships in Albi, France — a margin of more than eight kilometres over the previous record. Named IAU Women's Athlete of the Year for 2025, Webster came to the 24-hour discipline relatively late, running only her second such event when she broke the record. A veterinarian by profession and currently based in East Sussex, she applies the same methodical approach to pacing and physiology in racing that she brings to clinical practice. She won the UK and British 100km Championship in 2023 (7:03), claimed bronze at the 2014 IAU 100km World Championships, and reached the podium at both the 2023 IAU 50km World Championships and the 2024 IAU 100km World Championships.
