Scott Traer is an American ultrarunner and UESCA-certified coach from Massachusetts who founded RunFastah, a personalised endurance coaching practice. A former journalist and competitive cyclist who came to trail ultrarunning as a second career, he has built an impressive résumé at North America's most demanding 100-mile courses: 10th overall at the 2022 Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run, third overall at the 2023 Leadville Trail 100 in 17:54:12, and a competitive qualifying performance at the Black Canyon Ultras 100k — the premier Western States golden-ticket race. As head coach of RunFastah he offers custom training plans and one-on-one coaching across the full distance spectrum, combining his high-level competitive experience with the communication skills of a journalism background to make training concepts accessible and actionable for athletes at every level.
