About
Simon Paccard is a young French trail runner from the Bauges region near Annecy who discovered the sport in 2015 when a neighbour suggested a run to the summit of Mont Trélod. He lives in Grand-Bornand in the Aravis and works as a product developer in the outdoor sector while competing at a high level. His biggest win came at the UTMB Mont-Blanc 2023 MCC race (a 40K format between Martigny and Chamonix), which he won in 3:20:52 — a stunning result that announced him to the international community. He also won the Sierre-Zinal Junior race in 2019 and has been steadily climbing France's elite trail rankings since. His motto is to take running seriously without taking himself too seriously.
