About
A high school teacher at the Cattaneo lyceum in Castelnovo Monti in the Reggio Emilia Apennines, Corsini inherited his love of mountain running from his uncle Caselli, who took him on long hikes from boyhood. It took him eight years from his first marathon to reach the podium at Tor des Géants — Europe's hardest race by elevation gain at 330km and 24,000m of ascent. He finished 2nd at TDG 2022, then returned in 2025 to cross the line again in 2nd place (71:48:55), arm-in-arm with French runner Martin Perrier in a shared finish that drew widespread attention. He has also completed OCC and CCC, building his résumé across the UTMB World Series before committing to the extreme end of the distance spectrum.
