About
Teresa Nimes Pérez is a Spanish trail runner and physical education teacher from Villajoyosa (Alicante), based in the Murcia region. Her athletic background spans cross-country, 1,500m track, 3,000m steeplechase, and triathlon; she discovered trail running while preparing for the 2009 Nice Ironman and moved to mountain ultras soon after. She represented Spain at the Trail World Championships three times and won the TDS by UTMB in 2014 — one of the UTMB circuit's most demanding events, covering 119 km with over 7,000 m of elevation gain through the Italian and Swiss Alps. She has also competed at the full UTMB and the OCC. A consistent elite presence in European long-distance mountain racing, she remains one of Spain's most respected ultra runners.
