About
Thibaut Garrivier is a French trail runner and diagnostic radiologist from Annecy who grew up in Avranches, Normandy and spent a decade in medical training — studying and completing his specialisation while squeezing trail sessions between 24-hour hospital shifts, before finding the balance that unlocked his best competitive performances. He began as a Skyrunning specialist, developing the climbing efficiency and technical descending ability that define his racing on steep Alpine terrain. His breakthrough on the global stage came with victory at the Transvulcania Ultramarathon in 2019, followed two years later by winning the CCC by UTMB (100km, Courmayeur to Chamonix) — one of the most fiercely competitive distances in the UTMB World Series. A HOKA-sponsored athlete and one of the sport's clearest examples of what sustained preparation alongside a demanding clinical career can produce, he placed fifth overall at the 2025 UTMB Mont-Blanc as the top French finisher — confirming his standing as one of France's most complete and consistent mountain ultra performers.
