About
Thierry Chambry is a French ultra-trail runner born on September 8, 1968 in Normandy who relocated to Réunion Island in 1999 and became a fixture of the demanding volcanic trail-running scene there. He won the Grand Raid de la Réunion — the Diagonale des Fous — in 2007, one of the sport's most physically punishing 100-mile-plus mountain races, crossing volcanic terrain with extreme elevation change. Beyond competing, Chambry works as a mountain guide, ultra-trail coach, and trail blogger documenting his passion for running, hiking, and adventure across Réunion's mountains, and spent seven years as a sponsored Decathlon athlete during his competitive peak.
