About
Tim Bradley is a British trail and fell runner best known for jointly winning the 2023 Montane Winter Spine Race Challenger North alongside G. Brian Hutchinson — a moment of sportsmanship that captured the attention of the wider running world. Bradley had built a substantial lead on the remote Pennine Way moorland when a fall in conditions reaching −17°C left him questioning whether he could continue; it was Hutchinson who found him at Horneystead Farm, rallied him to his feet, and refused to race on alone. The pair covered the final stage together, crossing the finish line arm in arm. The Spine Challenger North is a non-stop, self-supported race covering the northern section of England's Pennine Way in deep winter — arguably the most demanding multi-day winter ultra in Britain. Beyond the Spine, Bradley has competed across British fell and trail circuits and European ultra-distance events, with results at the SkyRun Eryri 14 Peaks Ultra, Chianti Ultra Trail by UTMB, and Centurion Wendover Woods.
