About

Timothy Kibett is a Kenyan mountain runner with a road running background who announced himself on the global trail stage with a breakthrough victory at the Salomon Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail 2025 — the debut Golden Trail World Series race in Austria. Racing for Salomon Milimani Runners, Kibett dominated the decisive downhill section of the shortened 20km course (1,000m elevation gain) to finish in 1:32:43, his first GTWS victory. Teammate Samwel Kiprotich finished 2nd and Taylor Stack 3rd. His win was a clear signal that Kenya’s mountain running depth extends well beyond the established names on the circuit.
