Yang-Chun Lu is a Chinese ultrarunner born around 1992 who grew up in a remote mountain village in Yunnan Province. A double national champion in the 3,000-metre steeplechase on the track, she channelled her speed and mountain upbringing into trail running with immediate success, winning the Vibram Hong Kong 100K in 2019 in her debut at the 100K distance, defeating an experienced international field and announcing herself on the world stage. An adidas Terrex athlete known for her smooth technical running and uphill strength, she is considered a leading figure in the emerging generation of elite Chinese women ultrarunners.
