Adam Kimble is an American ultrarunner, Fastest-Known-Time specialist, and coach based in Tahoe City, California, originally from the Chicago suburb of Minooka. A former Division I baseball player at Bradley University, he took up distance running in 2011, ran his first marathon (Chicago) in 2012, and within two years had progressed through his first 50-miler and 100-miler. In 2015 he won and set the course record at the 4 Deserts Gobi March 250K across China, and in 2016 he ran 2,500 miles across the United States in 60 days before winning Discovery Channel's survivalist series The Wheel with a solo 60-day wilderness stint in South America. In July 2020 he set the supported Fastest Known Time on California and Nevada's 171-mile Tahoe Rim Trail, finishing in 37:12:15 to better Kilian Jornet's previous mark. More recently he has set course records at the Badwater Cape Fear 50K and Outlands Endurance Races 50K and won the American River 50 Mile.
