Adam Peterman is among the most decorated American trail ultrarunners of his generation, establishing himself as a legitimate contender across everything from 50K to 100 miles in just a few years of competing. A University of Wisconsin cross-country and track alumnus, he announced his arrival on the ultra scene with wins at Speedgoat 50K and JFK 50 Mile in 2021. In 2022 he delivered one of the most impressive single-season résumés in the sport: setting course records at Chuckanut 50K and Canyons 100K, winning Western States 100 on debut, and capping the year with the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships 80K title in Thailand — a double gold that confirmed his standing among the world's best. A sacral stress fracture curtailed his 2023 season, but he returned in 2024 and continued to compete at the highest level, including 3rd at CCC. He won Canyons 100K again in 2026. A Hoka athlete based in the Pacific Northwest, Peterman combines exceptional road-speed credentials with the mental fortitude that long-distance mountain racing demands.
