About
Alice Meignié is a French sports physiologist and trail runner whose path to an ultra-distance podium ran through the laboratory as much as the racing circuit. She holds a PhD on measles virus-based cancer therapy and has worked as an applied researcher on female athlete physiology and fatigue at INSEP, France's national sports institute, before moving into sports nutrition for the INEOS Grenadiers professional cycling team, having previously worked with Cofidis Women. A solid but largely unheralded trail racer with wins and top-10 finishes at mid-distance races such as the Tarn Valley Trail, she produced the performance of her career at the 2026 TDS by UTMB, finishing 2nd overall in 22:30:29 -- just 22 minutes behind winner Sarah Vieuille -- a result far beyond anything in her prior racing record and one that marked her arrival among the sport's contenders.
