About
Amanda Basham is an American ultrarunner and endurance coach from Sweet Home, Oregon, who discovered trail running in 2014 after a road injury and rapidly ascended to professional-level competition. In her first professional race in 2015, she won the USATF 50 Mile Trail Championship, announcing her arrival with decisive authority. Her career breakthrough at the 100-mile distance came at the 2018 Western States 100, where she finished third in 19:17:59 — a performance that earned her a seventh-place ranking among women by Ultrarunning Magazine that year. She also won the UROC 100K and finished second at the Tarawera 100K in New Zealand, establishing herself as a versatile competitor on both American and international stages. A Rabbit-sponsored athlete based in North Logan, Utah, Basham has since channelled her elite experience into coaching while continuing to compete herself.
