About
Caroline Benoît (born c. 1987) is a French ultra trail runner and midwife who broke through at the elite level with one of the most dominant performances at the 2016 Trail des Templiers — France's celebrated 100-kilometer trail race through the Grands Causses. She began running seriously only a few years before her breakthrough, progressing rapidly from 20-kilometer local races to events of 80-100 kilometers. At the 2016 Templiers, she took the lead around the three-hour mark and never relinquished it, winning in 12h16'50" and announcing herself as a significant force in women's European ultra trail. She also won the Trail des Ruthènes in 7h41'39" and was sponsored as a Green Perf and Sigvaris team ambassador during her peak years. She has continued racing at major events including the UTMB circuit, finishing 15th at the 2025 Chianti Ultra Trail by UTMB.
