About
Dan Lawson (born 13 February 1973) is a British ultra runner, charity worker, and environmental entrepreneur from Brighton who rediscovered running in his mid-30s and rapidly became one of the UK's most prolific record-breakers. He won the 145-mile Grand Union Canal Race in a course record 22:15 (2015), claimed gold at the IAU 24-Hour European Championships in 2016 (261.843 km), and won the 400-kilometre Ultra Gobi outright in 2017. In 2020 he set the LEJOG FKT — running 840 miles from Land's End to John o'Groats in 9 days 21 hours 14 minutes — and in 2025, aged 52, shattered the South West Coast Path record by 19 hours. A committed vegan and founder of ReRun Clothing, he also does charity work in India for OSCAR India.
